I relaxed, watched movies and enjoyed pizza with my wonderful fiance. I'm a firm believer that those three things can cure nearly any sickness, including the cold I'm battling.
...I know, I know. I just posted about needing to lose weight and now I'm telling you that I stuffed my face with BBQ chicken pizza...I'm sick, give me a break.
Anyway, my night got even better when we finalized a few small details for the wedding. We've officially purchased our cake topper, flower girl basket and ring bearer pillow! I'm so excited!

I think my favorite of these purchases is the cake topper. I love it. I think it's adorable. Even more, I think it represents us. It's cute with a hint of casual and most importantly, I love how they are looking at each other. To me, their pose and the way they are gazing at each other just emulates a couple in love.
Corny? Yes. I can't help it.
I'm also really happy with our pillow and basket. I think I'm going to add some purple ribbon to both. For the basket, I'm thinking I'll just add a purple strand to the ribbon already attached. The pillow will be a little more difficult, but it shouldn't be too bad. I think I'm just going to run a strand of ribbon down the middle - maybe across too - we'll see when it gets here.
The best part about all of these purchases is that I found them on Amazon.com - which means I got them way cheaper than normal! The topper is originally from WeddingStar, where it is listed for $34.98. We got it on Amazon for $19.85. Great, right?!
We also saved on our two other purchases, paying just $9.89 for the basket and $6.44 for the pillow. How much better can it get?
I guess I'll find out when they come in. I'm really hoping they live up to my expectations. I can't wait!
On a totally unrelated note, the Super Bowl is tomorrow! I'm excited to whip up a bunch of appetizers (which I'll be pigging out on), ordering a pizza (again) and enjoying a few beers while watching the game with Ryan. Although, I'm not sure what will be more entertaining - the game or his reactions to it. He's hilarious when he watches sports.
Either way, it should be entertaining.

ReplyDeleteI think we got our cake toppers from the same website! I have the cake topper with the bride piggybacking on the groom's back and he is holding a football. My fiance LOVES football and is a football coach so the cake topper has made him really happy. Love it.
